How to tie a bot-tie
How to tie a bow-tie is a series of one-on-one performances in which I taught participants how to tie a bow-tie. By employing demonstration as a pedagogical technique, one in which participants learn through observation and repetition, the performance establishes an interdependency and reciprocity between myself and each participant

In this work, fashion is presented as a system of complex gender and class coding. It considers the subtle and discursive influences effecting sartorial form among individuals and groups.
